Borough Homes
The Borough Homes Coordinator manages all the homes owned by the municipality. There are thirty (30) homes for rent in Brooklawn, and currently work off of a waiting list.

If interested in any of our rentals, please complete the pre-application and submit it to the borough office. If at any point, your information changes (contact information, income, household size, etc.), it is your responsibility to report the changes in writing to the Borough Homes Coordinator.
Pre-Rental Application
Once we call you to process your application, an application fee of $50 in the form of a money order or certified bank check is required. If your household has more than two (2) adult household members, an additional $25 is needed per adult household member.
Application fees are waived for applicants currently participating in the Section 8 and/or Public Housing Program. All Section 8 recipients must send a copy of the voucher along with the application.
Qualifying households must meet our minimum income requirement of two (2) times the monthly rent.
Tenant Responsibilities:
- Electric, Gas, Water & Borough Sewer
- 1 ½ Month Security Deposit
- Rental Insurance
- Heater Services Contract & A/C Contract if House Has A/C
- Rent Due 1st of Each Month-$60.00 Late Charges After 15th of Month
- No Pets Allowed
Affordable Rentals
The Borough has five (5) affordable rental units that are also working off a waiting list. The maximum income requirements are listed below.
